This low-poly 3D concept piece is a re-imagining of the classic Dr. Seuss story, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." The stylized aesthetic was achieved using low-poly modeling techniques in 3DS Max, with the scene rendered using Arnold's Toon Shader. My work included a deep dive into the Toon Shader, incorporating the use of color ramps to create procedural cell shaders, normal maps to generate line work, and layering images onto the toon shader. A vivid, contrasting color palette and playful lighting were used to emulate Seuss’s iconic style. Additionally, this piece demonstrates my versatility in utilizing different 3D modeling and rendering software to achieve the desired aesthetic.
