Combining strong fundamentals in sculpting, anatomy, and texturing, I translated the Pokémon Pignite from stylized 2D art into a realistic 3D design. Sculpted in ZBrush with careful attention to form and musculature, then textured in Substance Painter to capture details like stitching and skin translucency through a hand edited subsurface scattering map. The sparse fur was groomed using a combination of manual techniques and geometry nodes. This piece showcases my ability to adapt beloved character designs into grounded, anatomically-convincing, 3D sculptures while maintaining their distinct personality.
